The achievement of a gold disc is something that any recording artist dreams of. Aled Jones, at the age of 14, already has two to his credit (@voices of the Holy Land', REC 564; 'All through the Night', REC 569). Aled performed in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Anne in the 1985 Royal Gala Performance at the Edinburgh Playhouse. He was also the subject of a highly-acclaimed Omnibus documentory, 'The Treble', and recorded Handel's 'Athalia' with Dame Joan Sutherland. Aled Jones continues has successful association with the BBC Welsh Chorus, which since its formation in 1983 has become one of the leading choirs in Wales. The choir broadcasts frequently on both regional and network television and radio and has recently performed in Israel, France and in the Musikverein, Vienna. John Hugh Thomas studied at University College, Cardiff where he obtained his initial and Master's degree in music. In addition to holding the post of Senior Lecturer in Music at University College, Swansea, John Hugh Thomasn pursues a vigorous and varied professional musical life as a singer, broadcaster, lecturer and conductor. Huw Tregelles Williams graduated with first class honours at Universaity College, Cardiff and was awarded the Turpin Prize when gaining his FRCO diploma. He is currently Head of Music Programmes, Radio, Wales with special responsibility for the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra.
